The name story behind Ali Owl Rising

It started with a pigeon named Owly.

Welcome to my page, I want to tell the story behind my name.

Why Owls?

I LOVE. OWLS.

The photo on this post is from my 60th birthday, I stood on the grounds outside a Scottish castle, holding an owl on my arm. I was so happy I could burst. We got to cuddle some owls and fly them, talk about owl heaven… I was absolutely giddy.

But my connection with owls goes back to childhood.

I was visiting a farm and met a pigeon that, to me, looked like a little white owl. I named it “Owly” because Owly sounded like Ali, and I was a kid.

Years later, after the end of my first marriage, I was walking alone at night when an owl swooped silently overhead. No sound. No warning. Just a rush of air… and a feeling that everything was going to be OK.

It was magic.

The Feather That Called Me

There was an owl feather that literally fell at my feet by the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. It felt like a sign, and it was, I was about to start dating my husband. The owls were saying, Keep going. You’re not done yet.

Ali Owl Rising is more than a brand to me. It’s my soul in motion. My sacred self stepping forward.

So if you’re here?
Welcome and I wish you success and invite you to join me on the journey to empowerment.
